Why Are Dogs so Friendly?

It is not uncommon to see videos on the internet of a dog befriending other species. It turns out this drive for interspecies friendships may be predisposed. A study concluded that dogs possess genetic mutations that are found in people who have Williams syndrome, a rare condition characterized by exceptionally friendly personalities. Wolves don’t have these mutations which shows the trait evolved at some point after domestication.
